Fundraiser Information 2020 Season

Bloom Carroll Track & Field supporters,

It is an exciting time to be part of the Bloom Carroll track & field program. During the past five years as a coaching staff we have seen the school district, Athletic Department, and Athletic Boosters provide the program with many “big ticket” items including a new track surface, blacktop sealer for the end zones, a new multi-use pole barn (track & field uses 1/3 of the space), a new shot put area, a pole vault pit and standards (we had no pole vaulting for over 25 years), over a dozen new vaulting poles, a new discus platform, and 30 new hurdles.

The last two projects to make our facility and program one of the best in Central Ohio are a Fully Automatic Timing (FAT) system and a new High Jump Pit and Standards.

FAT System- $11,685- A FAT system is a computer system at the finish line that eliminates the use of stopwatches and is used at invitationals, league, District, Regional, and State meets. Two other schools in the Mid-State League currently have their own systems.

  • Columbus Equipment Company has donated $5,000 towards the purchase of this system as well as a trailer to house the equipment at the finish line.
  • The Athletic Department will pay $2,000 towards the cost of this system as well as the yearly cost to pay two workers at the finish line.

High Jump Pit and Standards- $7,868- Our current system is over 12 years old and has seen better days. The new system would be purple and gold to match the pole vault pit that was purchased five years ago.

  • An anonymous donor has donated $4,000 towards the purchase of a new High Jump pit and standards.

The reason for this correspondence is to ask for your assistance in procuring these funds. Over half the cost of each project has been accounted for, but we are still in need of $8,553 for the two projects.  We would like to raise this money by the use of:

  1. Sponsorships: We are seeking companies or businesses that would like to sponsor these projects which will include signage and recognition at home meets (11 meets this spring).

Recognition tiers:

Bronze- One year- $600.00

Silver- Three year- $500.00/year- $1,500.00 total

Gold- more than $1,500.00

  1. Donations: We are looking for families, friends, BC alumni, former track & field athletes who would like to donate to these projects which will include recognition at the middle school and high school pre-season parent meetings, Invitational meets, and post-season awards banquets.

All donations, no matter the amount, are appreciated!

Recognition tiers:

Bronze- $50.00

Silver $100.00

Gold- $250.00

Platinum- $500.00

Platinum Plus- $1,000.00

How to sponsor or donate:

  • All sponsorships and donations paid by check should be made out to Bloom Carroll Athletics.
  • These can be mailed to Bloom Carroll Track & Field, 5240 Plum Road, Carroll, Ohio, 43112.
  • Credit cards can be used by contacting Christine Evans in the Athletic Office at 614-837-0786 ext. 43231.

Questions can be addressed to me at bruce.olson@bloomcarroll.org, 614-837-0786 ext. 42118, or Athletic Director Chad Little at chad.little@bloomcarroll.org, 614-834-6750.

Thank you in advance for your help with these projects.

Go Bulldogs!
