LOCAL SUMMARY:

8/14/2020 - Inclement weather unfortunately stopped the 2020 Bloom Carroll Varsity Boys Golf Invitational at Pine Hill late on Friday afternoon. As many teams were unable to complete their full round, the event was split into 3 separate waves allowing each team to post some competitive results. With an early tee time, Bloom Carroll was able to complete their entire round and post a season low 322, good enough for 3rd place among the 12 teams to finish all 18 holes. Senior Joe Luckhaupt led the Bulldogs with a solid round of 78, good enough for 3rd place overall. Sophomore Michael Whitcraft added a 79, landing him on the All-Tournament Team. Also scoring for BC were Monty Lobb and Tanner Swartz, who both carded 85. Bexley won the event with a team score of 315. Individual Medalist honors went to Bexley's Ricky Walsh with a 74.

Other divisions of the rain-shortened event included a 9 hole division won by Buckeye Valley with a score of 165. Medalist of the 9 hole division was Carter Streid of Buckeye Valley with a score of 37.

The later tee times complete 6 holes, allowing for Newark Catholic to claim a match victory with a 6-hole score of 113, including the division medalist Colin Crumrine who shot a 27.

Next up for the Bulldogs is MSL #2 at Turnberry on 8/22. BC is currently in first place in the MSL Buckeye standings and hopes to maintain that lead going into the 2nd of 4 league events.
