LOCAL SUMMARY:

For the third straight year and the 5th consecutive head to head meeting, the Bloom Carroll vs Canal Winchester golf match came down to the wire. With Canal Winchester leading by 9 shots through 4 of the six players, things looked bleak for the Bulldogs. Travis Hall briefly restored hope with a 41 from the 6-man spot, good enough to earn individual match medalist and save BC 10 strokes which led to a momentary 1 shot lead. Unfortunately for BC it was not enough to overcome the deficit. Canal carded a 49 from their last player to make up one shot. This left the match tied at 180 and it fell to the 5th score to decide the tiebreak. Canal's unused score of 50 was one shot better than BC's 51, enough to claim the victory.

Scoring for the Bulldogs included Travis Hall (41), Joe Luckhaupt (46), Corey King (46), Monty Lobb (47), and Kaden Russell (51-tiebreaking score).

This marks the 5th consecutive head to head meeting that was decided by 5 shots or less, and the second in as many matches to end in a tie!

BC and Canal will face off again at Westchester on 9/15.
