I'm originally from Gallipolis, Ohio (located in southeastern Ohio) where I was born and raised.  I love the fact that I grew up in a small town.  I liked that growing up, sports, church, and school were the three biggest things in your life.  During high school, I was a three year letter winner in football where I was team captain my junior and senior seasons. I was also a one year letter winner in wrestling.  After high school, I continued my football career at Marietta College where I was involved in many community service projects through our football program.  I played two seasons as an outside linebacker before transferring to Ohio University.

 

I began my coaching career in 2007 at River Valley HS as Co-Defensive Coordinator and Inside Linebackers coach. During 2008 through 2010 I temporarily stepped away from coaching and pursued a career in finance and advertising. In 2011 I began my Masters degree in Coaching Education at Ohio University.  At this time, I was hired as a Student Assistant with the Ohio University Football program, helping with Tight Ends, Special Teams, and Recruiting.  I spent two seasons on staff at Ohio U, during which time we achieved the school's first ever bowl victory when we defeated Utah State in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.  We added another bowl victory the next year defeating UL Monroe in the Advocare V100 Independence Bowl.  During these two seasons we were ranked as high as 23rd nationally and accomplished the school's first 10 win season for the second time in school history. I finished my Masters degree in the spring of 2013 and was hired by Coach Barthlomew to coach the H Backs and Linebackers at Gallia Academy HS. 

 

In May, I begin a new job with Chase Bank in Columbus to go along with my new job as Assistant Coach with Bloom Carroll Football. I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to work with the Bloom Carroll Football program and become a part of the Bloom Carroll community.
